 Serenity Urgent Care and Wellness
Investment Opportunity Summary

1. Introduction
Serenity Urgent Care and Wellness is a physician-led, high-acuity urgent care
center based in Tucson, Arizona, redefining same-day medical care through
emergency room–level expertise delivered in a convenient, patient-centered
outpatient setting.
Founded by a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician, Serenity bridges the
critical gap between traditional urgent care clinics and overcrowded hospital
emergency departments. By offering advanced diagnostics, procedures, and clinical
decision-making typically reserved for ER settings, Serenity provides faster,
higher-quality, and more cost-effective care for patients and referring providers
alike.
In order to meet the needs of our community, we are open seven days a week
between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. We anticipate adding longer hours as
our patient base grows.
2. Our Team
Dr. Jodee Meddy, MD – Founder & Medical Director
 Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, MBA in HealthCare
Administration, years of CEO level management of hospitals and long-term
facilities
 Extensive experience managing high-acuity cases in hospital ER settings
 Specialized in advanced procedures including complex laceration repair,
point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and acute diagnostics
 Proven track record of clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and
operational leadership
Clinical & Operational Team

 Other providers include emergency room experienced and trained Advanced
Practice Providers, as well as a second Board Certified Emergency Room
Physician
 Practice Administrator with over thirty years’ experience in health care
offices and management including fifteen years in Urgent Care, certified as a
Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistant and able to fill in many
roles.
 Focus on efficiency, patient experience, and high-quality outcomes
 Lean, scalable staffing model designed for expansion
3. The Problem
The U.S. healthcare system faces a growing crisis in access to timely, appropriate
acute care:
 Emergency rooms are overcrowded, with wait times often exceeding
several hours
 Corporate urgent care centers lack advanced capabilities, resulting in
unnecessary ER referrals
 Patients face high costs and delays for conditions that could be treated
efficiently in an outpatient setting
 Primary care access is limited, particularly for same-day needs
Market Opportunity:
 The U.S. urgent care market exceeds $40+ billion annually and continues to
grow
 Rising demand for cost-effective, same-day care alternatives
 Significant opportunity to capture mid-acuity cases currently pushed to
ERs
 The Catalina Foothills area contains the highest earning zip code in Tucson.
With a large elderly population, this provides an abundance of people with
acute and chronic long-term ailments who can afford alternative therapies
that can help their conditions and who also need urgent care.
The creation of Serenity grew out of Dr. Meddy’s twenty-five-year experience of
seeing the frustration of patients in overcrowded waiting rooms and overcrowded
emergency rooms. Patients would wait hours to be seen for conditions that could
be easily handled in a less crowded, more comfortable, less expensive setting.

4. The Solution
Serenity Urgent Care and Wellness delivers a hybrid care model that
combines:
 Emergency room–level expertise
 Advanced diagnostics (including on-site X-ray and point-of-care ultrasound)
 Procedural capabilities (complex laceration repair, IV therapies, etc.)
 Concierge-level patient experience
Key Differentiators:
 Board-certified ER physician on-site
 Ability to treat higher-acuity cases than traditional urgent care
 Reduced unnecessary ER referrals
 Faster diagnosis and treatment
This model improves outcomes while significantly reducing costs for patients and
payers. The medically experienced team at Serenity surpasses the mid-level
provider models typically found in Urgent Care centers. With a board-certified
emergency room physician led team, all providers have training and experience in
an acute trauma level emergency room and are able to handle more complex cases
than a standard urgent care, all while providing the highest level of customer
service excellence leading to five star reviews.
5. Business Model
Serenity generates revenue through multiple diversified streams:

Urgent Care

 Fee-for-service patient visits (contracted with all of the private medical
insurance companies in the area including Medicare and self-pay)
 Procedure-based revenue (laceration repair, imaging, IV therapy, etc.)
 Ancillary services (X-ray, ultrasound diagnostics)
 Employer and occupational health services (future expansion)
 Cash-pay wellness and specialty services

Wellness Services

 Serenity provides a Wellness program that includes IV therapy for nutrients,
anti-aging and general well-being.
 HRT – Serenity provides hormone replacement therapy for men and women
in a medically supervised, in person clinic providing active supervision of
hormone levels.
 Ketamine therapy – Providing relief for patients with chronic pain when
other methods have failed.
All of the above are self-pay services with payment due at the time of service,
priced both as individual treatments and as packaged well-being therapies.
Soon we plan to add and market a third tier of mental health services which will
include Ketamine therapy for anxiety and depression.
This model benefits from:
 High-margin procedures
 Efficient throughput
 Lower overhead than hospital systems
6. Competition
Primary Competitors:
 Corporate urgent care chains (e.g., NextCare)
 Hospital-affiliated urgent care centers
 Emergency departments
Serenity’s Competitive Advantage:
 Physician-led vs. mid-level-driven care models
 Higher acuity capability = fewer referrals out
 Superior patient experience and outcomes
 Faster service and reduced wait times
 Strong community positioning and trust
 Providing advanced imaging and procedures that other Urgent Care Centers
do not.
7. Our Vision
