In a country like Senegal (west Africa ) where oil and gas reserves  worth more than 1 billion barrels of oil and 40 trillion cubic feet of gas ( first oil extracted from the Sangomar field in June 2024), it is important to put in place mechanisms for that “wealth management”. 

The project activity is to carry out drug use screening tests for employees of private and public companies but also in the transportation system. Tests can be carried out by the client company internally in two ways: urine tests and saliva tests. The latter can reveal by instant reading recent drug consumption which will help the business manager to take preventive measures. These tests can be administered to a person designated by the employer. This may be the line manager or a colleague from the occupational health service. In all circumstances, if these tests are carried out within the company itself, the results of the tests will be known to the employer and the person in charge of carrying them out. Although there is no question of medical confidentiality, everyone is bound by professional confidentiality. Screening tests for drivers are carried out with the public authority following an accident or traffic offense.

This project is initiated by the SMS Consulting , a company specializing in medical activities Our team has extensive experience in the drug testing and laboratory industry.Our technical partner, based in Dakar, was among the brightest “Covid 19 beaters” in the country.  

The current Senegalese government is very  interested in the project and We’re planning a pilot test ( urine test  and breathalyzer  ) in August 2024.

Thus, the company will put in place an impressive system to better play its role and achieve the objectives set in its strategic plan for the next 3 years. The project that will be implemented will create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs. It could generate over 1 billion ( CFA) in just a year . 

The overall cost of the project is estimated at 200 000,000 CFA francs with 160 000,000 CFA francs
