Online school for teaching all ages on how to DJ and produce.

Myself being an educator, I taught in the classroom for 5 years ages kindergarten through middle school and now I plan on collaborating this experience with my 15 years of Doing experience. As founder of Selva Beats, I plan on offering opportunities to every age level, emphasizing the children in order to teach and show them properly how to express themselves with the new modern technology and musical path shown through the growth of DJing and Producing.

My online course will offer step by step curriculum and tips with coaching throughout the process to allow students to have a platform for resources they can go back and forth to continue learning. I want to offer workshops in person, but in order to reach more and offer more the main focus is creating the online academy first.

Selva Beats has artists from United States and Europe, which will allow us to market and bring on the different cultural representations within the academy. Music changes every day and we want to show the cultural diversity through our family of djs.

Selva Beats MIA Music Academy by Cristi Hernz

Cristi Hernz, Cuban Spanish DJ and Producer, from Miami Beach, FL.
Cristi started Djing when she was only 11 years old and now is 26 years old.
Her journey began with open format and is now as of this past year in producing and mixing house music. Cristi is known for playing most genres with an emphasis on percussion sounds to add the latin tropical flavor that represents Miami energy through beats.
To that end, in March 2023, Cristi founded Selva Beats MIA platforming Miami artists to represent Miami energy through beats. Through Selva Beats, Cristi united people far and wide through the sound of music with the unmistakeable Miami energy. Within this past year, she has already hosted and platformed European artists from the Canary Islands, Italy, United Kingdom, and Portugal.
Traveling, music, good vibes, family and friends are what define her personality and inspiration with music.

Key goal: Combining education with entertainment for the consumers - While we enjoy going out to listen to music, we miss out on all the history and practices that go into the whole musical journey and as a professional in the field, I want to offer a learning experience like no other for everyone to learn from basics to the most pro tips out there that only those can offer through organic experience.

Selva Beats MIA: Uniting Miami's Melting Pot Through Music

Miami's vibrant atmosphere envelops you in an endless vacation vibe fueled by its contagious energy. The city boasts a delightful mix of flavors, a thriving arts scene, and a lively nightlife, all set against the backdrop of picturesque beaches and diverse architecture.

Music, a vital element in this mosaic, reflects the diverse character of the city's population. From Latin salsa's sultry rhythms and hip-hop's bass-heavy beats to Caribbean calypso's traditional melodies and EDM's electronic pulses, Miami's music scene showcases its multicultural identity.

As the local musicians describe it, the city is "a symphony of cultures, each playing its unique melody, creating a harmony that is distinctly Miami."

Amidst this kaleidoscopic cultural mix, Selva Beats MIA, headed by Cristina Hernandez—or Cristi Hernz as she is artistically known—is recognized as a significant contributor to this music scene.

Selva Beats is an initiative that celebrates the city's diversity, with Hernandez envisioning it as "a platform where Miami's cultures can come together through the language of music."

The collective brings together artists from various backgrounds to reflect a multicultural landscape. With genres from Afrobeat and Latin jazz to reggae and techno, Selva Beats' events are vibrant celebrations of Miami's diverse music scene.

The significance of a diverse music scene lies in its ability to unite various influences, styles, and collaborations. Different cultures toss in their own rhythm recipes, cooking up a music scene that's both eclectic and electric. Ultimately, this diversity enhances the scene, making it more vibrant and adaptable to evolving trends.

A recent event, the "Summer Launch Party," by Selva, exemplified this, featuring local and international artists and drawing crowds from different backgrounds that mirrored the city's diverse demographics.

As Hernandez puts it, "Our events are where the world meets. Every beat, every rhythm, tells a story of where we've come from and where we're going together as a community."

Statistics from the Miami Music Project indicate that live music events like these contribute significantly to the city's cultural and economic vitality, drawing in thousands of attendees annually and promoting cultural exchange. Companies like Selva Beats play a crucial role in this ecosystem.

Selva Beats stands out for its fusion of musical genres, seamlessly blending electronic music with live percussion. This unique approach, described by Hernandez terms it as "a blend of the traditional and the contemporary, the local and the global.

Musical fusion blends diverse styles and elements from different cultures to create innovative sounds. For example, reggaeton blends the rhythms of Jamaican dancehall with elements from Latin American music styles such as salsa, merengue, and bachata. Similarly, jazz fusion mixes jazz with rock, funk, and other music genres, incorporating electric instruments and improvisation. Both styles celebrate cultural diversity and foster a sense of unity and connection among their audiences.

Selva Beats also emphasizes community and inclusion, creating spaces where diversity is present and celebrated. Selva Beats actively engages with artists and audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds through its events, workshops, and online platforms.

"Music," Hernandez believes, "has the power to transcend boundaries, to bring people together to celebrate life and culture. That's what we aim to do with every event." This philosophy reflects Miami's broader ethos, where diversity and inclusion are integral to the city's identity.

Through its commitment to showcasing Miami's cultures, Selva Beats creates spaces for musical expression. It brings together artists from diverse backgrounds and promotes percussive fusion genres that blend various traditions. As a result, it fosters a sense of community and belonging among all participants.

"Our collective," Hernandez notes, "is a reminder of the unifying power of music and its role in celebrating the diversity that makes Miami so vibrant."

Selva Beats MIA is more than just a part of Miami's music scene; it catalyzes unity and understanding in a city known for its cultural diversity. The collective enhances Miami's cultural narrative by championing diversity, inclusion, and community values. It also sets a precedent for how music can unite people, transcending differences to celebrate shared humanity.

As Miami continues to evolve as a cultural melting pot, Selva Beats MIA ensures that music remains a vital thread in the city's ongoing story of unity and cultural richness.
