Screamers Family Restaurant is a tribute restaurant to what was once the University of Nebraska/Lincoln's Show Choir, The Scarlet and Cream Singers (1972-2008).  It is also the love child of Kevin Witcher a former member of the Scarlet and Cream Singers.  Screamers a full service restaurant and bar and home of the "Singing Servers".  Some of the best local voices in town are providing exceptional service while delivering amazing vocal performances of music from all styles, genres and eras.  Our vast and unique menu ensures that we are not some one trick pony with a gimmick but a great restaurant with quality food and exceptional service that offers amazing live entertainment while you dine as  the cherry on top.  The business plan works because the servers are the talent so we do not have the overhead of hiring talent. The servers benefit from the opportunity to use their talents while waiting tables which greatly increase their tip ratio and overall earning potential while also providing opportunity to hone their entertainment skills preparing them to compete in the word of music and musical theater.  We like to say that we are singing "the soundtrack of your life" music that moves people and touches hearts, and through our organic approach to entertaining the masses we are able to appeal to all diners from the youngest child to the most senior family member.  Covering music from  Sinatra and the Temptation to Disney and Taylor Swift  Screamers guarantees there is something for everyone, providing  so much more than a simple dining experience.  Screamers is Owned by Kevin Witcher and husband Jeff Schrader.  The restaurant opened in January of 2018 in Lincoln's Haymarket.  Covid-19 was of course a huge challenge for the business though we  have been lucky to overcome. The greatest challenge now would probably be the location of the Restaurant.  The Haymarket is a very difficult are for family restaurants and the building we are currently occupying provides more challenges. The hope is to move the restaurant to a new central location with independent parking and more dining space to include private dining opportunities and large party events.  Any new investment funds would go toward the relocation, new bold marketing programs and hiring brand development team to help prepare the business for franchising as this concept can be successful in most markets of varying sizes and has great promise to be a huge success on an expansive scale.
