Schmaltz Deli is a well known 20 year old award winning Traditional Jewish Delicatessen located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.   https://schmaltzdeli.com/   In 2019, Mark Goodman, with a New York upbringing, Executive USDA Food Manufacturing and Supply Chain experience and Operational Deli experience that included training at the New York Carnegie Deli and being  the opening General manager of the Chicago Carnegie Deli at 900 N. Michigan,  became the majority owners of Schmaltz Deli with other family members with a strategic growth plan in mind.  We created 3 growth models for this necessary and disappearing community based niche with the goal of "Spreading Jewish Deli Goodness everywhere".  Our brand is built on Quality, Service and price/value.  We moved 2 years ago from a strip center to a free standing building with a hub and spoke growth mentality for additional stores and standardization of supply from the flagship store of all traditional staple items like Matzo Ball Soup, Potato Latkes, Chopped Liver, Knishes, Rugelach, Bagels, Brisket, etc.,   2023 ended at over 2.3MM in Sales and a we received a substantial amount of positive press that can be seen at:   https://schmaltzdeli.com/press/   Our flagship location is the first Traditional Jewish Deli with a Drive-thru and over the last 18 months, we have completed the conversion from just a "quick service" only model to also offering a "full service" tableside model, expanded retail and Counter Deli service area, expended Catering, Private Dining Room area and were approved for a  Liquor License.   While we certainly are here to support the small Jewish Community for life cycle events, our customer base is at least 90% non-Jewish.  We have the best Corned Beef and Pastrami and won the award in 2023 for Best Sandwiches and Deli by local readers.  Our ownership group includes highly decorated Executive Chef, Michael Garbin, CEC AAC HGT who has tweaked all  recipes over the last 2 years and we are prepared on the Culinary side to move forward with our Covid-stalled growth plans.  Our biggest week of the year includes St. Patrick's Day and we have also been asked to return as the prime food vendor at our Naperville's Irish Fest this September.  We are looking for the right investor who will not just look at this from the investment side.  They also need to understand the well documented "Save The Deli" attitude we took into this to insure this category of food is sustainable for future generations.  I look forward to sharing more with interested investors.
