Greetings, 

My name is Ellizabeth Fichte.  I am coming upon my 20th Anniversary date of working in the short line industry.  I have learned a great deal throughout my career and was at one point, Manager of Operations for a short line railroad.  To get to my point, I went through a very negative experience this past November that brought me to this idea.  I sure hope I am wrong, but it could possibly have historic value.  I have put together a board of advisors.  One with over 30 years of experience from position of conductor to Manager of Operations.  Another advisor with over 30 years of experience in Maintenance of Way who retired as Roadmaster.  These gentlemen have known me my entire career.  They are fully on board to support me in this endeavor.  I am confident in my experience and specialty in Shortline Railroad Customer Service and Revenue Accounting.  I also have ways in which I can set up separate revenue streams to hopefully repay the funding I receive.   I want to set myself up for success on these projects and funding for them. I'm confident that I have unique understanding and skill sets that I have learned and developed over the years in my career to be successful.   I do not know everything, but I do know that if anyone can step up and do this, I have a great shot at being successful.   

I would love this challenge and opportunity.  I have to at least say that I tried.  This is not a crazy get rich scheme.  I know the hours of dedication it takes.  The available infrastructure funding in which a grant writer will be needed. and the revenue that will need to go back into making more improvements.  I've also have learned a great deal of things to avoid. You never learn everything about the short line railroad industry.  It's everchanging.  I've done a great deal of research in regard to the various revenue losses in the short line industry and have come up with a solution for one revenue problem.  I already have two companies wanting to take advantage of my skills and knowledge in this. I want to keep this revenue stream to help pay off the funding debt I acquire for the purchase of a short line railroad.  I need legal counsel for sure to begin with.  My advisors will attend any meeting to discuss and answer any questions. 

I also have quite a story to tell of my journey tackling the single parenting of my two Autistic sons. Learning as much as I could about the short line industry to improve our lives.  Sometimes moving to different states to achieve my goals.  Now they are young adults.  My oldest lives independently and has a job.  He recently paid off his first mortgage.   My youngest son graduated Magna Cum Laude at his college and is currently working on his master's degree.  I would love to get assistance to write a book.  I plan to be busy running a railroad and will need to have someone go through all of my boxes documenting my life and asking me questions to accomplish this and I would not want to give any interviews until after the book is published and even then I will be busy with my dedicated days bringing the short line railroad I'm looking to purchase back to efficiency serving their customer's with well-paid professional employees for their specialized skills and knowledge in the safe handling of railroad cars to and from customers.  

In closing I appreciate your time.  I think this is just a shot in the dark and most people may simply find this amusing, but I couldn't be more sincere about this project.
