There is no better time to introduce Room 23  a Cocktail bar to Metro Atlanta than now.  Majority of our known hot spots for Atlanta residents and tourist are being bought by huge developers to expand their portfolio. Is there a space now where gender, race or sexual orientation is not bound to having a great time? Is there any place where people who may have opposite beliefs can coexist under one roof without feeling uncomfortable by someone's authenticity? The answers to those questions are simply no. Room 23 will make everyone feel welcomed by having a staff that mirrors our expectation for our clientele, which is Diversity and inclusion. Room 23 has a chance to create a safe, intimate and fun environment where people can coexist and create great memories regardless of the boxes they may check. Here at Room 23 the introverts turn extroverts, cocktails create the ice breaker, conversations are fluid and dancing is a relatable language.

Alternative crowd. Enjoys all types of music including but not limited to Afrobeat's , Rap, R&B etc. These individuals don’t mind spending money when the experience and customer service is great. Feeling Safe is important to them because of their careers. They enjoy intimate Luxury spaces with a feeling of culture. Their love for signature cocktails and enjoyment of happy hour, with their coworkers is a routine. Some are graduates whom enjoy fundraising and homecoming parties and others maybe college dropouts who became successful businessowners. They’re in search for a space for their family, friends and coworkers to celebrate birthdays, engagements, promotions, deals or to party. Gender, Race or Sexual Orientation is not a roadblock for them when expanding their network. As a collective they enjoy quality over quantity, so many options are not needed to satisfy their taste buds.

ATLANTA HAS THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES BY ANY  OTHER METRO CITY. DESPITE THEIR COMPETITORS WHO MAY HAVE A LARGER BLACK POPULATION. ATLANTA IS IN THE LEAD WITH HAVING 116,798 BUSINESSES. 7.4% OF THAT NUMBER IS BLACK OWNED WITH 34% OF THE POPULATION BEING AFRICAN AMERICAN. ACCORDING TO LENDINGTREE.COM 

ATLANTA BRINGS IN ON AVG 50 MILLION TOURIST PER YEAR COMPARED TO WASHINGTON, DC WHO ACCUMULATES 20 MILLION PEOPLE. DC IS IMPORTANT TO MENTION BECAUSE THEY ARE PLACED BEHIND ATLANTA AS SECOND FOR METRO CITIES WITH THE MOST BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES. 

EVENTBRITE DID A STUDY WITH 6 MAJOR METRO CITIES. IT WASFOUND RESIDENTS OF ATL WERE THE MOST LIKELY OF ANY CITY TO CITE. MEANING (FIND A REASON TO GO OUT) THEY CALL IT ”A RELEASE FROM THE DAILY GRIND” THEY RECOMMENDED EXTENDING HAPPY HOUR TIME.

Who am I?

My Name is Angelo Alverio. Ive been in the restaurant/lounge industry for 5 years. During this time frame, I have built a great reputation here In this city. I moved here from Chicago at 25 seeking to have my own bar/lounge.  I started as a young server and worked my way to operating my own restaurant as General Manager. Every position I have mastered , including a bar manager and know what it looks and feels like to be in each role.  A successful owner in this business is no stranger to stepping in, to ensure business still operates smoothly and successfuly. I have also spent years throwing events, fundraisers bringing awareness to the company brand including  myself and capabilities. I have implemented programs that has brought the company amazing profit and visibility. The city of Atlanta needs Room 23 and I know with my experience and insight of the city nightlife, Room 23 Cocktail bar will be a huge success. Lets make history!!!!
