River Region Dermatology and Laser, P.C. was founded by Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Porcia Love, in Montgomery, AL at 2060 Berryhill Road in November 2016. The practice is a comprehensive skin care center for Central Alabama. The practice recently expanded to house cosmetic and laser services into a separate, adjacent building.

 

The practice provides services in Medical, Cosmetic, and Laser Surgery. Medical Dermatology services include diagnosis and treatment of common skin disorders such as acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hair loss, melasma, warts, and skin cancer prevention. Surgical services include the removal of benign moles, skin cancers, cysts, and lipomas. Cosmetic/spa services include botox/neuromodulators, dermal fillers, chemical peels, facials, microdermabrasion (DiamondGlow Dermalinfusion), eybrow restoration (microblading), make up services (Jane Iredale Skin care brand), and waxing services for hair removal. Laser services include Laser hair removal (Excel HR), Facial rejuvenation and redness/vein treatment (Excel HR), Psoriasis/Vitiligo laser (Aurora), Treatment of precancers (actinic keratosis) with photodynamic therapy, full body NBUVB phototherapy for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous T cell lymphoma), skin tightening and facial rejyvenation with Exilis Ultra (radiofrequency/ultrasound), Secret RF (radiofrequency/microneedling), and Sofwave (high focused ultrasound), Alma TED Laser Hair Restoration, Coolsculpting for noninvasive fat removal, facial rejuvenation with Laser Genesis and Aerolase lasers.

 

 

River Region Dermatology and Laser serves as a referral destination for Dermatologic Services for adult and pediatric patients in Central Alabama (Montgomery, Lowndes, Elmore, Autauga, Macon, Lee, Tallapoosa, Bullock, Pike, Crenshaw, Butler, Dallas, Chilton, Wilcox, and Conecuh counties. Since its opening in 2016, the practice has treated over 30000 patients. The practice also has the only NBUVB phototherapy unit for psoriasis/vitiligo/atopic dermatitis/cutaneous T cell lymphoma and the only photodynamic therapy unit for prevention and treatment of precancers (actinic keratosis) in Central Alabama; therefore, the practice receives referrals for phototherapy and photodynamic therapy from other Dermatology practices as well.
