Raising $100k for pro wrestling performance center in San Diego, CA

We provide training for and setup all-ages entertainment shows featuring independent professional wrestling. Trainees have gone on to more mainstream productions such as Women of Wrestling (WOW), Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW), New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), All-Elite Wrestling (AEW), and World Wide Wrestling (WWE).

Experience wise, we have providing independent professional wrestling entertainment in San Diego for several years. Recently, with the rise in popularity of professional wrestling, we have structured as a legal California business entity and seek to form a more professional product. We are seeking funding at this time to expand our production into a commercial building and provide a space for training, entertainment shows, and eventually build to being the source location for independent wrestling in Southern California.

The schooling side of our structure model provides the professional training from current wrestlers who have experience both locally and internationally. Bookings from our trainers include promotions in Mexico, Japan, and UK. These trainers provide valuable in-ring knowledge to our students, who in turn, perform on our local shows. This ensures that the talent we have are both trained to prevent injury, and have the showmanship skills to encourage building a large audience.

Customers come in two forms: Students and show attendees. Students currently pay a monthly due of $150 to train and learn. This also gains them access to bookings at local promotions where they can earn booking fees, sell merchandise, and hopefully end up being scouted by larger companies. Show attendees are the viewers of the performance. On average, a local wrestling show that we hold draws anywhere from 60-200 people, dependent on venue and talent on card. Average ticket sale prices are $20-$30, dependent on venue.

We are currently developing our promotion product line with merchandise to add additional profits on top of just show and school funding. One product prototype is a 3D scanned figure of one of our wrestlers that we had printed in a 5" figure. This concept already popular by larger companies such as WWE, will be greatly improved by the use of 3D model rendering and printing. We have partnered with a local company (FUBAR Designs) to keep this cost minimal, preventing the potential reduction in quality from overseas production.

Our core team moving this business forward consist of the following members:

Charles Smith (CEO): Charles is a US Navy veteran and also owns sister company, Silver Star Social Club, where he assists active duty and veteran members with VA disability, VA Homebuying, Entrepreneurship, and Active to Veteran Transition. At Rising Star Entertainment Group, Charles is responsible for the back end administrative functions of the business.
