The 2003 printing and graphic art Directory US and canada ( C Barnes and co 2003) list 3000 companies, over 12,000  Executives and $124 billion in total worldwide sales. US shipments of label are projected to advance at an annual pace of nearly 7 per cent through the year 2004 and will approach $14 billion.
In US 41 per cent of printing is flexography, 8 per cent is gravure  and 37 percent is offset lithography. We at Richmonds labels with over 30 years experience in Printing we are thinking of introducing  a Digital flexography printing machine this is the future of printing because it reduces the cost, improves productivity and product quality, Flexible package has benefit all around over rigid packaging, it provides excellent barrier properties for the contents while enabling the packaging to look appealing to the buyer.  At present most flexible packaging in the usa is  printed using the flexographic printing method. Flexography is a rapid growing packaging  printing process . It currently is taking market share from gravure. With a Digital flexograph printing machine it comes well with our business model of Customer value propostion. This enables customer to visit our company without appointments and place orders and even receive their product the same day. No makeready is needed with this machine. Face it margins are tight and are likely to remain that way. We all know that you can improve revenue in two ways raise price or reduce cost. raising price is possible when you have a unique value proposition that cannot easily be replicated. For rest of us reducing costs is the key to improving revenue  we do so by using a digital flexo printing machine with a shorter makeready time. We also have the people, technology, products, facilities, equipment, and brand required to deliver the value proposition to our targeted customers. And it has processes ( training, manufacturing, service) to leverage those resources
By Empowering every member to take ownership of this project. That is, an environment where everyone works together, takes the initiative, assumes ownership, is willing to deal with difficult issues, and accepts accountability for the team's results. By laying out a practical step-by - step approach and creating an organisation that recognizes, rewards, and capitalizes on it's most valuable asset- employees.
Most of our customer will be in food industries, drinks. Pharmaceutical companies etc.
