As a restaurant owner for 5 years, I firsthand experienced the lack of resources available to restaurant owners and managers to find service providers in their area for broken equipment especially when equipment crashes in the middle of a busy rush! I am a part of the restaurant committee for my local community, and we set up a group SMS chat where all the local restaurant owners and managers frequently discuss local events, local inspection agencies in the area and post for contacts regarding cleaning services, equipment repair, linens, etc. This group-chat is used very frequently and often helps a great deal. However sometimes there can be a delay in response from piers especially during busy times, there is also frequently just one local repair guy tossed around which makes availability very limited and tough to find a company available immediately. My app will come at a small fee of $4.99/ month to restaurant owners, and they can create multiple locations under that one restaurant user. The way this app will generate revenue is through the service providers, food vendors, linen provider, etc. who will be billed $49.99 per month to be featured on our in app directory and have access to view all the restaurants active within the area (excluding restaurant contact numbers to prevent soliciting) We will also sell banner ad space to service providers and food vendors as the app becomes more attractive with many restaurants actively using it.
The App will have several features, a group discussion board and calendar that only restaurants in that particular town or hamlet can view and edit. It will feature a directory section that can be tailored by the user to view local service providers and food vendors. I intend to grow the app once we gain more finances and users with a proven success record. I would add a feature where it tracks where state liquor authority or local board of health agencies have checked in and sends push notifications to the restaurant owners or managers phone so they can be prepared if they pop up in the area. This is very actively done in the current group chat used by me and local restaurant owners. However, it must be typed every time. This would be user driven just like the very popular "Waze" app where it alerts drivers of road obstructions or police vehicles.
