I have created three thriving unique high quality restaurants and a full service catering company in the mountains of Western North Carolina that have been operational since 1999. We focus on sustainably created menus, unparalleled service and care for our community.
 
The three guiding principles of my woman owned company are:  FUN, RESPECT, INNOVATION + COMMUNITY

REID's CAFE - At Reid’s Café , we serve regional seafood, farm goods from our local friends, amazing coffee from Bald Guy Coffee of Blowing Rock, as well as loose leaf teas and tisane from Bellocq Tea Atelier, with rustic handmade French pastries. We have all the things you need for lunch, dinner and in between–soups made to order, carefully crafted sandwiches, homemade sides and light, elegant salads, grilled whole fish, oysters on the half shell and hand crafted cocktails. Toward evenings, our emphasis on natural wines, sustainable, traditional, and with minimum chemical additives, compliment the Chefs’ choice of cured meats and cheeses. We have handmade cocktails and beer, too!

REID's CATERING - Every event is unique, and our passion for food and entertaining ensures that each client and event receives unparalleled personal attention. Innovative custom menus, with emphasis on the freshest, seasonal ingredients, paired with professional, personal service place Reid’s hand-crafted foods in demand.  We curate no less than 100 weddings per year, in addition to not for profit events, dinner parties, celebrations and work alongside Appalachian State University to host all incoming talent during the school term.
 
The BEACON BUTCHER BAR- At The Beacon Butcher Bar, we serve regional seafood, farm goods from our local friends, amazing coffee from Bald Guy Coffee Roasters of Boone, NC, as well as loose leaf teas and tisane from Bellocq Tea Atelier, with rustic handmade Italian pastries. We have all the things you need for dinner by Chef Trey Templeton; elegant salads, Neapolitan rustic pizzas, handmade pasta, grilled whole fish.  From the bar, we emphasize natural wines, sustainable, traditional, and with minimum chemical additives which compliment the Chefs’ choice of cured meats, cheeses and hand crafted cocktails. The Beacon Butcher Bar features re-purposed barn wood, local river stone, white concrete tabletops from BDWG, succulent greenery by Callista Designs. Colors are of dark sea and cloud, forest, stone, sky, and sunset. The vivacious heart of the restaurant resides in Jerry Cantwell’s paintings — exemplary compositions with colorways that resound and subject matter that is uncannily, but joyously soothing.

BETTY's BISCUITS - Crafted by Tina, Betty’s selective biscuit sandwich options are focused on locally sourced, high-quality ingredients and made from scratch in our kitchen at our NEW LOCATION on King Street in Downtown Boone, NC. The espresso beverages offered are based on Italian tradition and brewed by the master roasters at Bald Guy Brew in Boone. Betty’s menu is delicious, and the Café's style make it a charming option for catering a private brunch or late-night celebration.  Our walls are covered in historic photos of our GRANDMOTHERS!  So FUN!
