Most Americans live in communities where the place they call “home” is also a source of revenue for travel and tourism as a destination. This universal positioning supports each partner’s espoused market value and is sustainable. The base units are counties, and this has application to all 50 states. When the enterprise is established in the US, we expand to Canada. The strategy is to expand a "town at a time".
The Idea: Where small-town America and American city neighborhoods meet Sports and friendly competition to promote the uniqueness of each community and region, and along the way create a national branded platform for private ground transportation. The commercial enterprise (Regional Roads and Regional Roads EXCHANGE funds GO GROUND for Good), which supports 501.c3s whose mission is to serve Families, Communities, and Teams.
REGIONAL GROUND Solutions, RGS, is a branding company in the community and regional promotion and media businesses.
The target market is Families – Communities – Teams which is $200+ billion, 300+ million direct consumers, 20,000 teams with an average of 10 away trips per season, plus 150,000 fans, 60+ million youth sports participants annually, and hundreds of small businesses providing specialty foods & drinks, and experiences.
Own the Brand and rent to the rest... is the business model. It is Asset Light, which generates cash efficiently so late-state investment is not required. Own and rent niche brands, specialized platforms, and content and leave operations and fulfillment to local partners. RGS owns Regional Roads, Regional Roads EXCHANGE, and GO GROUND for Good, plus scores of other brands. (Think: Authentic Brands Group for community and regional promotion, but instead of spending millions to purchase brands, we create them). In addition to IP, RGS owns specialized technology focused on championships and fan travel, including March Madness, and plans to rent other specialized technology.
Bill Maulsby, RGS founder, is a branding guy with experience in travel, TV, event transportation, technology, team travel, and sports. He has had multiple start-up successes and has made millions for investors from Silicon Valley to Wall Street. Before the pandemic, the management team operated the NCAA Championships team travel program on a national basis for a decade.
The plan is 90% done and the founder is running out of cash. He needs six months to finish legal work on IP and the sign-up of partners. Those who are with him are on the ground floor and will gain all that this implies.
