Purple Couch App is a tech start-up in the making. I launched with a client check-in app, with visions on building out a software suite for the mental health and social services industries.
The current version was modeled with mental health professionals in mind. The app aids in providing an easy client check-in tablet interface that notifies the clinician when their client has arrived. The application has potential in multiple industries including health care, corporate environments, security and more.
The app is a subscription model with prices starting at $14.99 per month and expanding based on the size of the staff to be included on the app. The app is available for iPad and on the Apple App Store. My current client base is small due to lack of resources for broader marketing.
I conceptualized and designed the app and hired a developer to do that actual build. I have a background in mental health and social services, which gives me a unique insight into what the industry needs and how current solutions and software systems are underserving the industries needs. I also have background in working for Redfin when it was a tech start-up.
The check-in app is just the first step into services offered and will include client database, scheduling, billing, staff monitoring, electronic signatures and client dashboards. The overall concept is to provide robust systems with simple interfaces.
