Drivers are understandably striking in protest, making service unreliable. Prices of rides are rising, often surging, set by algorithms designed to maximize corporate profits.
Riders do not have the ability to select their ride. They are assigned a driver without choice. They have the option to either pay up or find another mode of transportation.

There's no income splitting of driver fares.
Drivers pay either a low fixed daily, weekly or monthly fee to join the PunchRides network and it costs a little more than a daily cup of coffee.
Drivers can set their own price calculations for how to charge passengers.
They can set a fixed fee, or a per mile and per minute rate charge by the number miles or charge by the minutes en route.
Because drivers don't have to worry about handing over upwards of 1/3 of their income they can set lower prices while still taking home more income. Which makes both the passenger and the driver happier.
