Pomegranate is the first-ever Iraqi-American created film about Iraqi-American young  females acclimating to the United States. In the weeks before the election of Donald Trump in 2016, a politically liberal, Iraqi, Muslim immigrant struggles to find her footing in a neighborhood of well-to-do, politically conservative, Iraqi, Christians, while battling her family‚Äôs fears of deprivation and demands of loyalty to Muslim traditions. This film is comical, uplifting and unifying amidst controversy Iraqis face in America.

Our team consists of professionals who have over 40 years experience in the media/entertainment/film industry. Weam Namou is the writer and director of Pomegranate, and is an Eric Hoffer award-winning author to 13 books from 2004-2016, with her 14th book, Pomegranate, released 2-14-21 in which the script is based. Currently she has a documentary being produced in Beverly Hills from her internationally-award winning book The Great American Family (2016). Pomegranate is a highly anticipated book and film from her global audience. She is the Executive Director for the Chaldean Cultural Center, a filmmaker, speaker, radio host, journalist, Ambassador for the Authors Guild of America, founder of The Path of Consciousness a writer's annual retreat and Unique Voices in Film a non-profit focused on changing narratives of mainstream media to ones of wholeness and positivity through film.
Namou Productions Team: 
Her second hand man Sam Sako is the Producer, Casting Director and Cultural Advisor. He is a 40-year Hollywood veteran as an actor, casting director, voice over artist, foreign language coach, ADR performer, cinematographer, editor, producer and director. Extensive background in independent and major motion pictures.
Nabil Nona is the Line Producer and was the producer and director known for Nightmare (2011), Consequences (2017) and The Summoner (2018). 
Kevin Hewitt is the Director of Photography and a 35-year veteran Director of Photography, Cinematography, Camera Operator, Steadicam operator/owner, and FAA licensed Drone owner/pilot. Best known for his steadicam work on Transformers: Age of Extinction, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and a Most Violent Year.
James Stonehouse is the Composer and a Michigan-based composer, arranger and performer, he has composed over 1,000 compositions. Some of his commercial clients include: Toyota, McDonald's, Dodge, West Grange Pharmacy, and Michigan's Emagine Theater. 

Partnered  with esteemed, independent production company Buffalo 8, our risk is exponentially lower than other amateur filmmakers. Namou's team has chosen an exceptional female-leading cast from the top world talent agencies. The ROI is 120% within a 24-36 month time-frame from investment, in addition to 50% of profits after the project sales are complete. Additionally, Section 181 Deduction Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2018 (TCJA) creates a 100% deduction for any money invested in a film, that is produced in the United States. The production will be finished by end of 2021, and beginning of 2022 attending Sundance, Berlin and SXSW film festivals for awards. Then we will sell and release our product to every streaming company and world box office with anticipated sales of over $14 million. The film will speak to female audiences in a positive way, empowering 53% of all movie goers. This film has been in the works for 10 years and is set up for ultimate success. It will be the catalyst for Iraqi-American female directors and help shift social consciousness from a negative and oppressed Iraqi people to the freedom and independence of Iraqi immigrants in America.
