Platform for Non-profit-driven collaboration

Platform for non-business recruiting

Hi I'm a Junior in Rhode Island School of Design. In the past several months, I found this great demand in our school, as well as in Brown and MIT and several other schools, that students are eager to work on projects in other schools, or find teammates from other schools. For instance, brown clubs, groups NGOs want RISD designers, RISD students want to work on projects in MIT, etc. I call this type of collaboration non-profit-driven collaborations: Student Clubs, NGOs, projects, competitions, sport event....etc, people are not "hired" but devote a lot into these kind of projects. And they are very popular before students enter the job market.

Basically, I want to create an online platform that allows people to publish exciting projects that they are working and recruit corresponding project buddies. Also, those who are eager to participate can find their projects that suit them. The platform would have a matching algorithm that connect project leader with potential participants based on their skills and interest. It would be a platform that allows open collaboration that breaks the boundary of schools, organizations and physical spaces. In the long term, the platform aims to become a place of all the exciting projects and entrepreneurship in Colleges. The business opportunity of this platform include project promotion , accurate advertising, especially education advertising, job recruiting, etc. It's a kind of Linkedin, but instead of company hiring and job seekers, it's a platform for non-economic, non-profit driven projects which exist everywhere in our life.

I'm majored in Industrial design in RISD (where the founder of Airbnb went). Good grades, good at Ul/UX and product design, won several design awards, have the ability to craft products of the best user-experience. I'm very young (20) . I don't have a lot of experience running a business but are very eager to learn and adapt. I knew the demand is real and are willing to push it to the end if you can help me.

I'm currently in the very very early stage of finding a co-founder. I've sketched out basic wireframe and UI/UX design. I'm looking for interested investers to provide funding and mentorship.

If I have enough investments, I would immediately drop out and work on my visa (I'm not a US citizen). And would start this project right away.
