Ladies and gentlemen:
We are writing to ask for funding help for our small business. As a single mom and minority woman business owner I am trying to help others because I know how difficult it is to raise children alone or with an unemployed significant other.
We manufacturer children and adult masks. We make fun designs to encourage kids to wear and keep their masks on. Sales are decent. We sell to everyone everywhere we go, and we have them in a few bodegas.
We received $11k in PPP in July which lasted less than 2 months we have been using personal funds and sales revenues to stay afloat. We have 5 employees who are supporting their families. Two of them is the only bread winner in the household.
We really want to keep them employed as the business grows but my funds are running dangerously low. A grant of between $30 and $50k will go to operating expenses (payroll and inventory) and keep them employed as well as keep supplies and inventory.
Our long-term plan is to continue making mask as long as they are needed and expand into children’s t-shirts (same fun designs) in the spring. We believe we will be able to hire more people in the spring. Our main goal is to help people (both stay safe and healthy and take care of their families).
We truly hope your organization can help.
Yours truly,
Elaine Braswell
