My company currently is dog walking and expanding into dog daycare.
Currently on my team is Chuck Henson - Media, Daniel Stevens - Operations and Rodney Harrigan - Accounting.
The challenge I have observed is the non-quality of care given to these dogs. Daycares that cram so many dogs in one space and not enough staff. Also cleanliness and sanitation procedures need worked on. Lack of training and resources.
I offer a quality daycare where staff have previous experience, use proper material and monitor the dog to human ration closely.
Our income will be based on the community needing dog daycare (people who work long hours, have hyper high energy dogs), boarding (people who travel and need someone to watch their dog 24/7, grooming, DIY bathing, bus pick up and drop off and basic training. We also will be working with local rescues helping them network homeless dogs to find good homes. No other daycare offers that in Tampa Bay.
The Competition in our area are Love My Dog, Camp Bow Wow, Royal Pets
My vision is to offer a quality canine community where all dog parents feel assured their dog will be watched over and have a stimulating experience. True Value!!!
Traction - I have reached 30 walking clients in just over a year, most of which have stated they are waiting for me to open to use either or both daycare and/or boarding.
Funding - I am asking for $100,000. I have already raised $90,000 in a little over a year. The additional $100k will get me to that goal in order to find a suitable location and 3 months of working capital as I get the business started.
Winning looks like if we hit our daily dog attendance, boarding and grooming on a monthly basis. Having my clients spread the word they trust their dogs with my company and get more clients to walk in. I would also like to open at least 1 more location around the 5th year after opening.
After being open for 5 years, I would like to start looking for a 2nd location. I would also like to be a central hub where I throw quarterly events for adoptions.
