Exclusive Luxury Pet Resort Seeks Funding to Improve Pet Hospitality Sector

Pawm Beach Pet Resort & Spa is designed to be the leader and trend setter in its own newly improved market of truly quality based, yet affordable, luxury pet hospitality services. By providing an all-encompassing facility for pets; that is as visually appealing for pet owners; as it is enjoyable and safe for the pets who stay with us; we are solving this ongoing problem for the pet-family market by ensuring that our product of premium pet care is not only met, it is exceeded by the standards we set and continuously deliver to our cherished pet families.  Furthermore, by using a designated portion of our resort as an extension of assistance and housing to support local shelters/rescue facilities through various outreach efforts and special events, we are going full circle in our efforts to decrease the homeless pet population, and ensuring continued generations of clientele through our ethical care practices that are core to our mission statement, and our exclusive  "Resort and Rescue"  Business Model, which has never  been done in Luxury Pet Hospitality
Whether it’s for boarding, grooming, doggie daycare, pet wellness, training, special events or our signature amenities including; a “barkery and catfe’”, a members only dog park and tiki bar or our exclusive pet boutique; offering that very same quality to their pets is one of the key focuses of Pawm Beach Pet Resort.

Problem

Small, industrial, cold facilities, old toys and play structures, dilapidated equipment, underqualified and too few staff-to-pet ratios, cutting corners on cleanliness, care and amenity; are just a few of the many problems with current doggie daycares and so-called pet hotels.  Because of this, many pet owners often find it difficult to balance pet accommodation and care needs with their busy lifestyles. Our goal is to fill this need by providing high quality care and trustworthy luxury accommodation that meets their needs while providing competitive prices and extensive services, and also solving chronic problems in over crowded local animal shelters/rescues through our "Resort and Rescue" business model.

Solution

Pawm Beach Pet Resort & Spa seeks to provide the ultimate experience for pet owners and their cherished pets, as well as for homeless pets in need of housing, care and finding their forever family.  We plan to do all of this with a large facility, (52,000sqft indoors and over 10,000 sqft outdoors) new and more interactive enrichment toys and structures for the pets to exercise and engage with.

Dogs need adequate personal space in both group settings, as well as in their private spaces.  According to top dog behaviorists and boarding/daycare designers; when planning out activity yards and playrooms, small dogs require at least 50-75+sq ft of space each, and large dogs require 100 to 150+ sq ft per large dog in that space.
So in order to have a playgroup of say, 20 large dogs (50lbs and up), the smallest that activity area should be is  3000sq ft. That is just for 1 activity area. This is something the vast majority of “pet hotels” fail to provide-where we intend to be successful from the start.  Additionally having a large enough staff that is properly trained to keep a watchful eye on all of the pets; as well as high quality foods, treats and products to offer our customers will be the standard expectation at Pawm Beach Pet Resort.  This, in addition to having truthful transparency of our operational care plans and a state-of-the-art facility; to offer the very best quality care in the St. Pete and immediate surrounding areas including the Orlando and Tampa areas.

Our plan is grounded in over 15 years of industry experience and extensive market research on the demand and urgent need for upscale pet services in the region, backed by a solid financial plan that ensures profitability. We anticipate significant growth potential, and our focus is to build a reputable brand that delivers excellent value to our customers and gives back to support our pet care community.

Our business model has even been reviewed and impressed upon by Wes Bergman; creator of “The Blox”, which is a competition and business accelerator/reality show about entrepreneurship and start-ups.  My business  was selected to be one of the 100 signature start-up businesses from across the country to be cast and compete in this next upcoming  season of “The Blox”  to help catapult our business to the next level!

We are at the point where we need to urgently secure the lease on our target facility and begin the planned renovations to achieve our target soft opening before the Holiday Season this year.
One of our target locations is a 52,000 sq ft building on over 2 acres of land which is perfect for our usage needs.

Through a combination of our own personal investment of $250k as well as the 750K investment from either angel investors, venture capital firms or debt financing, we hope to raise $1.5 million in early stage funding as we anticipate reaching a gross revenue of $2.1 million  by the end of the first year of business.  We estimate reaching  a revenue of over $5.6 million by the end of the third year  and 12.5 million by our fifth year of business.  We have a comprehensive business plan along with 5 years of realistic projections and assumptions with P & L that we're happy to provide for your review.

Ideally we’re hoping to work with special investors who share and understand the passion and drive behind this business venture and agree why it's so important to have a business like this in our communities. Additionally, by having the support of those signature investors, we are able to continue shared philanthropic efforts on a continuous basis with our unique “Resort and Rescue” Business Model
