I want to buy out another company and absorb it. The current owner has been doing this for 30 years and wants to retire and move on. He has given me the opportunity to buy it. I know all the employees and have worked with them for years as one of my vendors. The company provides automotive parts and supplies for taxi cab company's, highway patrol, RTC, and the school district along with several other accounts. The company has been around since the early 2000's. I will keep the name at first until my accounts are secured with the new ownership. Some accounts will stay with the old name and others will be transferred to my new company. The owner will stay on as my accountant and teacher to help me get acclimated to owning my first business. How long depends on me but he will be salaried. I am aiming for 1 year. I have a future in mind that I cannot attain at my present Job. This fell in my lap and I want to jump on the opportunity to attain this business for myself and my kids. I plan on keeping the accounts that are present and achieving more accounts than what is already obtained by the company. This is a thriving and profitable company and my drive to do the best I can is something that I can't wait to explore and to see how far I can take this.
