We are a tech startup that is developing wearable technology to improve the success rate of artificial insemination in hogs and eventually other livestock. We will lower farmers' operating costs and improve farm profits.
Ovulus Data sensors are attached to the sow and sense key biometric changes that will alert the farm technician when it is the best time to inseminate a breeding hog. We believe we can improve insemination success by about +5%. This translates into millions of dollars of increased production from the same herds. Plus, since the alerting is automated the producer will incur lower production costs. Ovulus Data will receive new and recurring revenue from the sales of and activation of our products and services that will deliver good financial returns to our investors.
The top 10 producers maintain more than 2,800,000 breeding sows. Our plan is to sell directly to these producers and later to use farm shows plus industry publications to reach the thousands of smaller producers. We will go international in our third year. The international opportunity is significantly larger than the US one alone.
We have a provisional patent on our sensors. We have completed three rounds of testing. We have proven our thesis that estrus can be detected via core temperature changes. We are testing in cooperation with one of the leading university swine research programs in the county. Our heat flux and blood perfusion technology is cutting edge. To our knowledge we have no competition.
Ovulus Data's leadership team includes a recognized industry leader in swine production, a serial entrepreneur who has launched several successful ventures, a technologist who specializes in advanced electronics and an inventor who consults on advanced technology. We have a full business plan and pitch deck available. Please, learn more about Ovulus Data.
