OVERSIGHT

We are a company with 3 partners developing a new software solution called OVERSIGHT VESSEL MONITORING for the marine industry.  We aim to introduce the OVM software into the many different sectors of the marine industry; commercial shipping, ferries, passenger vessels, super yachts, coast guard vessels, naval vessels and eventually we would like to see expansion into the offshore oil and gas industries.

OVM software will allow the remote monitoring of selected and connected propulsion, mechanical, electrical, electronic and navigation systems found on ships or other maritime assets.   By using a simple hardware interface which needs to be installed on a vessel, OVM is able to transfer information from these systems to a remote user portal.  This transfer of information uses very little data bandwidth of a ship's VSAT or relevant internet/data capability.

The remote user is able to view this real-time ship system information by logging into their desktop portal.  The capability to view this ship system information is possible no matter their geographical location effectively allowing them 24/7 access to monitor theses ship systems.

This is highly effective tool as it can allow real-time monitoring,  determine system's trending, limit or prevent machinery breakdown and most importantly reduce operating costs for the ship owner or managing company.  An added value of the software's capabilities  is possibility to expand into other fields where the software can be of value; marine insurance brokers, marine accident investigation, shipyards etc.

Our team has run successful BETA-testing for 10 months on an operational vessel however due to the sale of the vessel we are no longer able to run OVERSIGHT as a trial version on this vessel.  We aim to have a trial version running on another vessel within the next month or two.

We have worked closely with the Irish Institute of Technology to assist with the coding and  development of the user interface and they are currently completing a feasibility study which will be completed shortly and available for viewing.

The next step for us is to complete the software coding, streamline the user interface and evolve this all into a marketable product.  Our funding request is the capital input we need to complete these final steps so that we can launch OVM software successfully.

Our aim is to debut OVERSIGHT software in Q3 of 2020 as this period  typically coincides with many major boat shows and marine industry trade shows in Europe and USA.
