Origin Bakery Franchisor is a brand new company, but we are not a traditional start-up. The core company was founded in 2009 and has grown into Origin Gluten-Free Bakery Ltd, an award-winning 100% gluten-free business.

Origin Bakery’s executive team is now ready to start offering franchises through the new entity Origin Bakery Franchisor — the first Gluten-Free franchise system in Canada! Origin has become a recognized leader in the GF industry after successfully operating for 15 years in Victoria, BC. The company has a well-established brand and product differentiation and is now ready to expand as the first GF Bakery and Café franchise system — bringing consistent high-quality products to the rapidly expanding world of gluten-free and health-conscious customers.

Our founder, Tara Black, has put together a highly successful and experienced team to execute this plan. Over the last 5 years, Origin Bakery has established the products, the systems, and the procedures to guide franchisees on their journey while providing sought-after GF products for communities across Canada.
