While trying to open my own food truck I have come to the main issue of finding a location. So I located a piece of land/property that would allow me to park and set up any way that I see fit. So it got me thinking if I'm having this trouble maybe there are others in my city that are probably having the same issues. So I thought why not use the space to have what id like to call “Food Truck City.” A place where 20 other food truck owners can come to set up and pay a monthly fee of about $500-700 a month. We will have seating for the customers to sit and enjoy their food fresh and hot instead of eating in their car and I have plans to build a small stage and have live performances for those warm summer nights. I know this will be a great addition to the growing city which has tripled in population over the past 2 years or so. There will be 20 other varies food vendors that will cater to all walks of life that includes vegan freely food. There is plenty of parking and easy in and out plus it is located on a busy street which brings a lot of car and foot traffic as well as colleges and universities like University of Alabama Huntsville, Drake College, and Alabama A&M, and its located in between 2 privately owned motels. This has been my dream and I can visualize this so clearly that I'm sure that whoever invests would be proud to be a part of such a unique opportunity not just for my food truck but for 20 other small business owners as well.
Okay now, let's talk bout the usage of funds. First, some funds will go to get all the necessary equipment to get my food up to code. Permit fees for my truck and for the Food Truck City Location. Repaving the parking lot and cleaning up the area. Painting parking spots for the food truck and for customers. Purchasing porta potatoes to accommodate the owner and the paying customers. I will also be using the funding for marketing and advertising, signs, flyers, and radio ration. Landscaping will also be paid to secure a DJ and Radio personality for the grand opening night. A storage shed to accommodate the table and chairs during winter months and rainy seasons. I will also use the funds to build the stage for the live performances and to pay for staffing to clean after closing each day.
Each Food truck could stand to make $4000-$6000 a month depending on their customers and how hard they help to promote their businesses. In a growing city like Huntsville/ Madison area food trucks could make as much as $150k a year, possibly even more.
