Nurse Scrubologist Couture

My name is Antrina Curry and I have been in the Nursing for about 28 years, I have been in this field pretty much my entire life. Therefore, I have been wearing some type of scrubs or uniforms for my entire Nursing career. Scrubs are primarily identified with those who work in the medical field. It is not just Nurses who wear scrubs it’s also the Personal care aides, CNA’S, Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapy, occupational therapy etc.  I have had relationship with these different types of professionals whether they are I hospital setting, Hospital, Nursing home, Assisted Living facilities, and doctor’s offices etc... I have experienced working with all types of people in my almost 30-year career. While be exposed to working with these different health care workers and professionals I have noticed that they all have a few things in common.  For the most part they want to be comfortable, they are in these scrubs for 8, 12, 16 shifts. Although, while they are wanting to be comfortable, they also want to be stylish and fashionable while going to work. 

         What I have noticed is that many people especially the younger generation want to come to work and be fashionable. They want the latest fashions and couture that the industry has to offer. They want to be dressed in the nice scrubs along with the accessories that are stylish. 

So the question of why I want to sell scrubs is not the question for me, it’s what took me so long to get into this industry. I know what the people want and what they are looking for. I’m ready to get in the retail industry and take it by storm because I have so many ideals for the people and I know what they want and need because I’m still in the medical and know exactly what I’m looking for when purchasing scrubs.

Knowing your target audience and your tribe is very important in any industry. Having a background in the industry is very important it makes understanding the industry and how it works even better.  I’m ready to get into the Scrubs Industry ; because not only do I want to get into it but I want to leave my mark and make a change.
