In summation - We leased a warehouse in northern CA and took possession on February 1st of 2023. Upon the initial walkthrough we discovered, though not limited to; a very porous roof, mildew, toxic black mold, exposed fiberglass insulation and other carcinogens. We ask for immediate remediation and some air scrubbers but up to the date of our move out nothing had been done and my health issues seem to be more apparent and worsening. A chest CT on July of 2023 came back abnormal. Other conditions included but are/were not limited to; chronic coughing, coughing spells in the morning, unordinary fatigue, loss of memory and concentration, loss of strength and an overall deterioration of the quality of my life.
A personal injury claim was filed the end of October 2023 against three defendants, so far. I have an attorney versed in such matters and well as an expert mold doctor ( one of the top in his field and nation). Additionally, substantial supporting documentation has been gathered. A jury trial has been requested.
The funds would help to reimburse our upfront costs for testing, reports and treatment as well as to help fund ongoing and future projected costs.
Repayment would be out of the settlement with interest or equity in the claim...
