Northern Hope Center is a nonprofit behavioral health organization serving Fairbanks and Interior Alaska. We operate a State of Alaska-certified behavioral health facility and are the only organization in Fairbanks providing a dedicated 23-hour behavioral health crisis stabilization service of its kind.
Our services include crisis stabilization, peer support, intensive case management, supported employment, recovery services, transportation assistance, meals, resource navigation, and connections to community-based care.
Our model combines peer-led support, clinical oversight, and coordinated partnerships with hospitals, law enforcement, housing providers, employers, Tribal organizations, and community agencies. We serve adults and youth experiencing serious mental illness, behavioral health crises, co-occurring substance-use concerns, housing instability, unemployment, and barriers to care.
Our team includes behavioral health professionals, peer support specialists, case managers, crisis staff, employment specialists, program coordinators, and medical and clinical leadership.
Northern Hope Center helps individuals move from crisis toward stability, recovery, employment, housing, and stronger community connections. Our services also provide an alternative to unnecessary emergency department use, hospitalization, incarceration, and repeated law enforcement involvement.
