I opened a Sustainable Commerce program in 2020 called Morel Imports, working with artisans in Isla Margarita Venezuela in which i supplied pearls (purchased in china), tools and accessories (purchased in the US) and had artisans create and make the jewelry and then i would purchase the jewelry to sell online in the US to recirculate the money. This has been focused on increasing the quality of life of the artisans , featuring their work & story in Venezuela. It began slow as it took time to focus on a quality high enough to be marketable in the US. It is now high quality, hand made artisan jeweley, and may be seen at www.morelimports com. I have funded the project with personal funds. This year I decided to expand the project and turn this into a business for profit (this was not previously the focus)..and at the same time maintain the sustainable commerce concept. I rented a space (1,100 sqft) in a high rent district in Cincinnati, Ohio (Montgomery) and am opening an artisan gallery (Morel Boutique Artisan Gallery) I purchased additional items from Mexico, to include furniture (equipales), pottery, glassware, metal work, palm, and opal jewelry. Featuring the Artisan's story
