Modern Barn is a modern restaurant offering upscale casual dining in a rustic atmosphere in Bethel, ME, recently voted North America's #1 Ski Town by USA Today readers. Our concept which we designed from scratch and opened the year Covid started has been a success from the start when millions of restaurants closed their doors.
We want to bring delicious American fare, an incomparable wine list in an unparalleled atmosphere to ski resorts nationwide. Our plan is to open three additional locations in 2023, four in 2024, and five in 2025.
Modern Barn pairs the sophistication of wine with an accessible neighborhood feel, welcoming the connoisseur, the novice, and the guest merely seeking to be entertained. Designed with our wine director and owner’s relaxed approach to good food and wine in mind, We invite you to drink, eat, share, relax and enjoy. Modern Barn was honored to receive a Wine Spectator 2021 Restaurant Award of Excellence. Our concept is turnkey with seasonal menus, wine lists, and programs in place from opening day. We will find the locations, provide the design and construction, POS and menu configuration, hire management and staff, and get each location up and running swiftly and successfully.
Opening a new restaurant can be a risky venture. Some fail to gain name recognition while others fail because they pick the wrong location or the market is already saturated with similar restaurants. We have honed our model, we have worked out the kinks, we know the restaurant industry market in ski towns and we know what works.
