Minnesota Electrolysis LLC / Robotic Electrologist

LaTonya Johnson is the founder, owner, and lead electrologist of Minnesota Electrolysis LLC in Burnsville, Minnesota. With nine years of hands‑on clinical experience, she has built a reputation for delivering compassionate, effective permanent hair‑removal services while mentoring professionals across the industry. Her journey into Electrology began with her own experience managing unwanted facial hair—an experience that fueled her commitment to helping others regain confidence and access safe, permanent solutions. LaTonya is one of the first and only Black women Electrologist in the State of Minnesota (Phifer, Ivan. “Electrologist Gets Rid of Unwanted Hair — for Good.” Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, 12 Jan. 2017)

In 2016, LaTonya completed her professional training including the completion of 320 hours at Electrology Associates, where she studied the full theory and practice of electrolysis and thermolysis. In addition, LaTonya has been recognized for her leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurial excellence. In December 2019, she was named a Spark Award Nominee by the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota. LaTonya continued to pursue further education, with the Aesthetics Accreditation International for Sterilization and Infections Disease Control in May of 2019 to 2024. 

LaTonya is currently a member of the America Electrology Association, with her membership beginning in April of 2019 to present. She also received the Women Venture Emerge Certificate in October of 2019, highlighting her commitment to business development, strategic growth, and community impact. With the support of Women Venture, she gained the business education, mentorship, and operational training needed to establish and grow a successful Electrology practice.
