Hello, my name is Jorge Martinez I'm 34 years old and I'm the funder of Micro moves inc.
I'm originally from Mexico and immigrate to Canada in 2019 with my Wife Gabrielle looking for a better quality of life and for her to be close to her family.
When I first. moved here i started working as a handy man doing all kinds of home repairs, I will advertise myself online as I possess many skills that my father thought me when i was younger, I would always give an excellent service and provide top quality work, short after I was able to buy a small pickup truck and during my regular jobs people would ask me here and there if i could help them move a piece of furniture with my truck or maybe a few boxed for an extra hour of my work, i would always say yes to any kind of opportunity to make extra money and I noticed there was a gap in the
moving industry. Realized that in Canada and the USA these services are quite expensive, and most companies have a bad reputation of overcharging clients, damaging stuff, fine print in contracts and most important they would charge a min of 3-4 hours for each service when sometimes people need help just moving a few things. Like most people in Toronto downtown live with the basic stuff, young adults that sometimes own a few pieces of furniture and very minor stuff and do not own a vehicle.
And requiring moving and call one of this traditional companies would be even more expensive that what most of the stuff they own worth.
Another example is someone trying to buy a second-hand piece of furniture from Facebook marketplace and don't have a truck or a friend that they can call to help with this and renting a vehicle for example and U-Haul is not much cheaper of what we offer and takes a lot of time and effort. One more example is client just shifting things within their own house or building or needing help getting rid of old pieces of furniture to take them to the city dump etc.

Micro Moves inc. was born offering
one hour only minimum services in cities like Toronto and Vancouver with an exceptional customer service and providing a service that literally no one else offers in Canada with our rates and custom-made services and flexibility
WE DONT HAVE COMPETITON.There're many reasons why no one else offers this type of service and the main one i believe is because of the operations and logistics being so complicated to offer a service like this.
We have mastered the industry and gather a great team that is super passionate about the company and since 2020 we are now in 3 provinces in Canada, we are a team of 30 hard working individuals and have 11 trucks operating.
We have partnered with many Realtors, home stagers, companies an even the city itself to help with this type of niche market and everyone loves us :)
I have a solid vision for this company and my goal is to expand to the USA in the coming 2 years, we currently operate in Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec.
Now the problem#
Our company currently revenues around 100-150k monthly and our margins are about 60% ,
on 2021 i had to take some business loans to be able to keep with the operation at very early stages of the company right in the middle of Covid we were very new and we didn't qualify for any government support and I took the decision of acquire merchant advances loans with a very high interest and very short repayment terms to continue operating at the same time we were falling behind our taxes obligations we continue growing and generating more revenues but at the same time i had to keep taking more of this high interest loans to keep the cash flow and operational and repay the loans.
It was really easy for us to qualify for this type of programs as this lenders lend money based on revenue and our revenue has always been very healthy, unfortunately this has turn into a snowball of interest of we cannot get out off, currently the company has an accumulated debt of around 650 k that we just continue paying and won't let us become profitable.
I'm convinced if we could find the right
angel investor that help us get rid of all this debt, we will become profitable right away and we can continue with our plans of expanding.
