A new twist on an old concept, Men's Modern General Store LLC offers unique American-made lifestyle and hobby products. We believe that every single product men use on a daily basis should offer a sense of security and pride when you use them. When you walk into our store, our vision is to create a space for men to find quality items they can touch, hold, and try before they buy. Our curated collection of lifestyle, hobby and body care products will offer bold designs with timeless functionality crafted for the modern man. Our products range from pocket knives, watches and leather goods to body care, BBQ accessories and bourbons. We also look forward to creating an adjoined premier lounge for gentlemen to taste various spirits and relax with a game of chess or network with men luxurious leather chairs. Men's Modern General Store values quality and community, bringing men together over mutual interests and hobbies and finally creating a store to purchase the perfect gift for men. Inspired by the working man, quality isn't just a word; our products exemplify hard work and commitment. We don’t settle for the ordinary. VISION
We would like to open our storefront in the summer of 2025 near St Louis, MO. The business will begin as a storefront in downtown St Charles, MO out the outskirts of St Louis, MO. In 5 years, we will expand with two other stores joining our first Midwest store, opening one East and one West on North America. We know that our store will be a destination from coast to coast and you will be inspired by our solid business plan as well as the man behind the vision. We need funding in the amount of $200,000 to begin this vision.
OWNERSHIP and BUSINESS MODEL
Micah Raposo is honest and humble man with a strong work ethic, who has worked in blue collar jobs for most of his adult life. Micah will passionately will grow this business the moment we receive your funding. Although Micah did not come from a line of entrepreneurs or have any business degree, his nightstand shows his commitment to becoming successful business owner, showing a stack of business development books. His wife of 5 years opened a small private practice in 2019 and has shown continued growth each year as she expands her business goals. Inspired by her ability to successfully own and scale a business, Micah realized that opening Men's Modern General Store is essential to stepping into the man that he desires to become. Micah has overcome adversity and will never give you doubt that he will enter into entrepreneurship with passion. Micah is currently registered as 100% owner of the LLC. He plans to add others to his team as he continues to scale the business. The business will begin as a storefront in downtown St Charles, MO out the outskirts of St Louis, MO. Within 1 year, we will offer purchasing available online. We will utilize various marketing options, including in person networking, online ads, mailing ads, commercials on YouTube and local stations, and the radio.
TARGET MARKET
Our target market includes 5 primary potential customers:
1. Men in Missouri and across the country who currently value knives, well-made lifestyle and hobby items. EDC (Everyday Carry) items are a thriving market.
2. Men who find it important to be able to hold products in their hands prior to purchasing and who will feel security in the quality and durability of our items.
3. Men who will enjoy a store specific to men's products while in St Charles, MO.
4. Women and families who would appreciate having a trusted location for quality gifts for the men in their life.
5. Men who are interested in bourbon and bourbon glassware.

START-UP COSTS
The estimated startup costs in the first three months to prepare the establishment, cost for initial operations of the business, and opening the storefront is $185,000. We have a general breakdown of the first year of business. We would like $200,000 to begin start-up of the business to account for the estimated cost in the first 3 months. We would like to open July 2025.
PROJECTIONS
The business anticipates at least $358,000 in revenue in the first fiscal year of the business being open. We will execute specific business goals and marketing plans within the first year and plan to increase revenue to at least $450,000 at the end of 2028.
