My name is Meeko Clavell, I am an R&B Artist Singer/Songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia.
Ever since I was a kid, I loved music. I always see myself being a performer, singing and writing songs. My favorite artists are Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean and H.ER. I’m inspired by making connections and healing people and bringing people together with my heart. I feel as if it is very important to have artist in today’s day and age. Music is a language for all cultures, all people and for all ethnicities. It is the very basis and language of love and connection. I am so grateful to be able to have the gift to perform but in this field there are gatekeepers that make sure that if you’re not within the gate that is very hard to succeed without the proper funding for the career. Music videos, streams, creating more music all things that are costly that you need to bring in more of a fan base to bring more revenue. Due to me not being signed to a Major, I am limited without a substantial amount of proper funding. Ad promotions and marketing is the most important thing within music you need money for radio promotions, you need money for YouTube, Instagram and Facebook ads as well as studio time which are all extensive expenses coming from somebody with a humble background. My interest starts back from when I was a child when I performed at church & in multiple choirs. At 16, I auditioned for American Idol and in same year, I won best singer in my county. This has always been my passion, this is always been my dream. I recently released my first single last January 29th called Love and during that era I managed to get on a satellite radio. I managed to have multiple performances. I managed to receive 1000 streams by myself. I can only imagine the engagement that I can have with the proper funding. I’m currently working on releasing my second single which is coming out on October 29th called Depression’s A Demon which was made in attempt to raise awareness around depression and suicide prevention. Music is my dream and it is my passion and with seeking this partnership I know I am setting myself and my potential team for success.
