Link to the Pitch DeckWe will digitize the value chain for recreational sports, fitness and fun activities. They will become data-infused, algorithmically enhanced and automated for customer service. These new capabilities allow people to play the sports and games more often, collaboratively, competitively and with innovative technology enhanced features. The first use case we are tackling is for Tennis: we are building a consumer mobile app that will automate the workflow complexities of scheduling and finding partners to play with.
The first app is being built as a freemium service- the core features and functionality will be offered for free. Users will need to add their friends to the platform to gain the maximum benefits of scheduling automation- a social sharing / viral strategy we're hoping will reduce a reliance on acquisition marketing costs to get user scale: friends will tell friends much like what happened with Facebook. We think by solving scheduling automation there is a clear value proposition for people who are recreational or enthusiast level players to use the app and build their Tennis social network on the app. We expect that once there is user scale we will be able to develop value-added services priced to consumers as well as coaches and trainers.
The app will be initially available in the US but will expand to global distribution over time. In addition, the core platform will be extended to address other sports and activities in the future- thereby extending monetization options.
