Call to Action:
We are seeking investors who are passionate about early childhood education and understand the significant potential of Little Sapling's Learning Center. We invite you to join us in nurturing the young saplings of our community and building a brighter future. Please contact us to discuss this exciting opportunity further.

Little Sapling's Learning Center is a proposed childcare facility in Prescott Valley, Arizona, designed to address the critical shortage of quality childcare in the area. Led by owner Karen Lozano and Director Erica Hubbard, a child welfare professional with a Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, Little Sapling will offer a unique, nurturing, and developmentally focused environment for young children. Our vision extends beyond daycare to include a future K-5 extension, Branching Out Learning Center, creating a seamless educational journey for children from infancy through elementary school. We are seeking investors who share our passion for early childhood education and recognize the significant market opportunity in Prescott Valley, AZ.
The clothing exchange is framed as another way Little Saplings nurtures families and builds community, reinforcing your core values. At Little Saplings, we believe in nurturing not just children, but families too. We understand that raising children can be expensive, and we're committed to supporting our community. That's why we're thrilled to offer a unique clothing exchange program. Families can donate gently used children's clothing that their little ones have outgrown, and then other families can "shop" for free at our monthly "Sapling Sprouts Boutique." This program not only helps families save money but also promotes sustainability by giving clothes a second life. It's just another way we're creating a supportive and interconnected community at Little Saplings.

The Need:
Prescott Valley faces a severe childcare shortage. In fact, according to the Children’s Action Alliance (CAC) only 40% of Arizona children aged 3-4 are enrolled in an early education program. Arizona lags behind the national enrollment rate of 48.5%, leaving more kids without essential early learning. The infant-toddler care issues result in an estimated $2.2 billion loss annually for Arizona’s economy. The lack of investment in affordable childcare forces parents to reduce work hours or leave the workforce. This creates a loss of economic opportunity for families and ultimately affects the overall economy.

Our Approach:
Little Sapling's Learning Center will provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. We believe that early childhood is a crucial period for both academic and social-emotional development. Our curriculum will emphasize:

  • Developmentally Appropriate Practices:
We will focus on play-based learning and hands-on activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Social-Emotional Learning: We will prioritize teaching children kindness, respect, empathy, and conflict resolution skills. Our "Seeds of Kindness" program will be a cornerstone of this approach. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, stemming from a personal experience with the impact of bullying on a child with autism. We will focus on managing big behaviors and aggression in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Parental Involvement: We will offer live video feeds for parents, providing transparency and peace of mind. This unique feature will differentiate us from other childcare providers in the area.
  • Experienced and Dedicated Staff: Our Director, Erica Hubbard, brings 12 years of experience in the child welfare community and a Bachelor's degree to Little Sapling's. She will ensure the highest quality of care and education for our children.
