Lucas Parker, Owning Partner & Operator

At LAWW Tractor & Ag Services we have prided ourselves over the last year in providing the best quality and efficient Agriculture Services possible. We have been able to tackle every project with confidence and efficiency with our utilization of top-of-the-line tractors in both compact and utility class tractors. We are currently a Family owned and operated business between my father and partner, who has been providing the start-up funds with the necessary credit for equipment loans as well as helping manage the direction of the business with employees. I have been the main operator since I began this venture and have spent every waking moment learning hands on knowledge of how-to self-improve the efficiency of the equipment to train others to operate, as well as learning what specialty services require to make them effective for our clients. Also providing the day-to-day repair funds and tool funds. We also gained a very good friend this year that as an agronomist, has a specialized past with regenerative agriculture practices and processes to help me learn what it takes to operate farmlands effectively, as well as provided the hands-on repairs of company equipment to ensure that we stay operational with as little down time as possible. He has also been a very successful contractor that learned himself how to properly manage a business on subjects such as setting goals, cost planning and budgeting, and has been a greatly involved mentor to my operation.  My brother is my current employee and operator running both pieces of equipment and has been a very valuable operator and customer satisfaction guarantor. To help spread the load, I have a contracted marketer that helps bring in new clients as well as bidding the jobs and scheduling them in a timely manner. Together we have made ourselves known to a good portion of this area, but still see lots of room for growth, and look forward to it.
I've operated this business since its inception date of March 1st, 2023. I've been contracting out to providing agricultural services since 2019. My brother and father have helped me grow this business since 2021. Since then, we have grown this business by providing both basic services like Brush Hogging, and Dirt Work. And specialty services such as Fertilizing, Herbicide applicating, Rotary Tilling, and Seeding. We currently operate on hourly rate services based on market values and the cost to operate. We have achieved our primary goal to become a service provider that our customers can rely upon us to complete any task they come to us with.
Our current customer basis of 120 clients ranges from 1-10 acres being approximately 70% of our business. 20% of our customers are in the range of 10-30 acres. And the final 10% of our customers have between 30-100 acres. Of these customers, 80% are Brush Hog Serviced Customers, with the rest being customers that may use us for mostly Land management services such as upkeep on hay producing land, or land resets bringing natural grown-up land up to hay quality standards. Our current range of operations covers approximately 60-70 miles radius from its center in Lindale, Texas. In this area of coverage, I am currently 1 of 8 known providers of Brush Hogging.  With the Large 15-foot batwing mower, I am 1 of 3. In Liquid Fertilizer Spraying, 1 of 7, Large Rotary tilling 1 of 1, and in No-Till Seeding I'm 1 of 4 and partnering up with one of the other 3. As a Agricultural Provider of these combined services, I'm 1 of 1. I currently use a service application subscription that provides me with scheduling, client information, invoicing, cost management, time sheet, invoicing, and allows me to keep detailed reports daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.  We can be found with our owned domain name and social media accounts. The operational website is still a work in progress. In 2023 from March 1st to September 1st, we grossed $91,000 in income. Giving us an average of $15,000 through those months. Approximately 20% of our clients are monthly serviced customers through this time.
We are looking forward to the new customers we're about to gain in the coming winter months from October going into 2024 through March where our clientele basis will be more centered around our Partnered Specialty No-Till equipment providing winter grass growth to beef ranchers that need something to grow and graze cattle on in order to save hay. Hay has become scarce in the recent years with prolonged droughts causing an increase in hay prices. As a result, this gives us a great opportunity to help the agriculture community in our range by growing out to be the primary provider to help fight against the low accessibility of hay. And putting us a step closer to one of our goals that is Regenerative Agriculture. Due to the prime timing of this need in the year, this lets us stay operational year around instead of being a seasonally profitable business.
My goals for this business is to grow to be the primary service provider and lead my region towards Regenerative Agriculture. I'm here asking for funding to help scale this business model in this area and provide funding to back the needs we currently have and help with growth to prepare for what the future of this business needs to better serve the community.
