KSD GovCon LLC is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Defense, supplying aerospace fastener hardware — shear bolts, blind rivets, and related components — to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA Aviation, Richmond). The components we supply support the UH-60 Black Hawk, MH-60 Seahawk, F/A-18 Hornet, P-8 Poseidon, E-2 Hawkeye, and A-10 Thunderbolt II.
Position as of August 2026:
- Two five-year DLA indefinite-quantity contracts awarded July and August 2026, running through 2031 — $3.5 million combined ceiling across two distinct NSNs, with locked unit pricing for the full term
- Approximately $181,000 in Year-1 guaranteed contract minimums across the two awards — revenue the government is contractually committed to ordering — with DLA demand forecasts showing at least seven delivery orders across the two contracts in the next 12 months
- A funded delivery order of $65,235.50 issued five days after the first award
- 34 contract awards under current leadership, including 8 federal awards in 66 days
- GREEN supplier risk rating in DLA's vendor system — active CAGE, no exclusions, no corrective action reports
- JCP export-control certification approved; All awards DPAS-rated DO-C9 — priority-rated orders under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System, which by regulation move ahead of unrated commercial workS;AE AS9003, AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001:2015
- Zero liabilities: no bank debt, credit cards, or equipment financing
We compete on DLA's electronic bid board, win fixed price awards, produce through an established U.S. manufacturer network, and deliver under government source inspection. KSD holds the contracts and manages the full performance cycle: sourcing, production scheduling, quality oversight, inspection, traceability, and delivery.
What protects this business is not price - it is approval. On source controlled items, a manufacturer must appear on a government approved source list before it is permitted to supply the part and that qualification can take years to obtain. Combined with SDVOSB set aside eligibility, this places us in a narrow and defensible competitive field.
Revenue in federal contracting arrives in contract sized payments rather than as monthly recurring income — we are paid by the U.S. Treasury after the government inspects, accepts, and processes each delivery.
