About the founder:

Garrett Wood Kusmierz is the CEO & Co-Founder of kozēkozē.

After spending the first decade of her adult life in highly uncomfortable, hustle-y entrepreneurial moments Garrett had an awakening when she became a mother. What if it was all about finding comfort? Why had she run from comfort for so long?

The early stages of postpartum life redefined the word “comfort” for her and now she’s on a mission to help others get cozy while doing the hard things including but not limited to parenting, birthing and business building. Doing the hard things gives us comfort in knowing who we really are. Knowing and loving who we really are is one of the most uncomfortable journeys we can experience.

Prior to kozēkozē and motherhood, Garrett did one of the most uncomfortable, vulnerable things possible: she wrote and published a novel based on true events from her own life called, Dare To Move. She also hosts the Dare To Move Podcast where she merges spirituality, business and self-development into inspiring conversations and free guiding episodes. Both creative projects were born out of Crossroads of Fitness, the coaching and consulting company Garrett founded in 2014 and ran through 2022.

Garrett’s first career was in real estate development and she helped with the US rollout of Caffè Nero. Her love of fitness guided her to teach at Shred415 in Chicago and also barry’s in Boston for 7 years.  Garrett has consulted for numerous wellness-based startups in Boston,  including MoveWith, TrainWithMe and Interval Fitness. When she’s not activating her passions to serve the greater good, Garrett is with her son, Decklen and husband Jeff.
