We are building the first rest area on the interstates roads in Congo-Brazza. The rest area will be on a major crossroad between three countries the Congo, Cameroon and the Central African Republic. It will provide commercial vehicles and private travelers with a gas station, a large parking lot for trucks and cars, a mechanic shop, a motel, convenience shops and food court.
Based on the African Union development projects to connect African countries for integration and economic growth, new roads are being built from the north to the south of Africa. The ax connecting Congo-Brazza to Cameroon is already in use. In 2016, about 80,000 vehicles traveled that route per year. Market research estimated that the volume of traffic will continuously grow at an average of 30% annually.
With this traffic, the Kopema Rest Area has the potential of bringing in USD $620,000 revenue in its first year of operation. We have already registered the business in both Congo and in Maryland, and have secured a distribution agreement with one of the largest local gas suppliers.
Our founders started this company because they witnessed the need first hand. A rest area has become an evident required service seeing the sheer volume of commercial trucks and also the increase of private travelers. Trucks can be currently seen parked on the side of the road for rest. We are looking for an angel investor that can invest 25K to help us get the land ready and build 2-3 rooms for now to allow us to test this market.
A full business plan is available for interested investors. The business is founded by Brice Ebeka, a US-based realtor and his wife Elizabeth, an accountant and program manager.
