Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions provides a variety of solutions for commercial kitchens in Southern Nevada. Deep fat fryers require regular attention to dump the used cooking oil and clean the inside of the fryer. Traditionally, kitchens give this job to the lowest ranking member of the crew. They generally don't have the proper PPE to be handling hot grease and as you can imagine, accidents can and do happen. Most restaurants do not have the time or technology to filter their cooking oil, so they regularly dump oil that could other wise be filterable. Our machines can filter the cooking oil, saving our customers money from having to refill the fryers with fresh oil. Instead of dumping the oil into a stinky waste bin outside the restaurant, we recycle the cooking oil into biodiesel and we are compensated for the oil that we recycle.
In addition to cleaning the fryers, filtering the oil and recycling the used oil, we can also provide our customers with fresh boxed oil. Many kitchens are not built with adequate storage area, so pantry space is precious. Our customers that purchase oil from us do so because our oil is cheaper or because they simply don't want the headache of worrying about the fryers at all. We currently have an opportunity to purchase oil in bulk which would increase our profit margin by 16%. Part of our capital request would go to support this purchase.
In the last two years, we have seen significant growth with a new service line, Filta Clean. Filta Clean is a steam-based, commercial kitchen cleaning service. We can clean equipment, walls and floors in the cooking portion of a restaurant. We can also clean the front-of-the-house for restaurants, too. This includes tables, chairs, glass, bathrooms and floors.
Whether it is our fryer service or our cleaning service, our clients range from hospitals, universities, sports venues, food trucks and restaurants. While there are some competitors in our market, each company has their own niche. Some offer traditional recycling and fryer cleaning, some offer bulk oil and fryer cleaning, but no one offers fryer cleaning, oil recycling, fresh oil, hood cleaning, kitchen cleaning and from-of-the-house cleaning. It is our goal to be the one-stop-shop our customers are looking for!
We are seeking a $150,000 investment that will allow us to expand into the Arizona and Utah territories. This will help secure warehousing in each location as well as outfit each facility and hire the right talent. This capital will also go to secure the shipment of boxed bulk oil, allowing us to increase our profit margin.
