Key Falls Estate is a delightful 30 acre property located in the Blue Ridge Mountains close to the Town of Brevard, North Carolina. Originally founded in 1836, the Estate currently holds a 1860's Inn, a stand alone Public Restaurant, Luxury Cabin, 80 foot waterfall, and a growing Winery. The Winery is in its beginning stages, and is the focus of the funds being requested. Currently, the Winery has teamed up with 3 French Vineyards and has produced three varieties and great tasting wine: A Bordeaux, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a Chardonnay. 3000 bottles of each have been produced and shipped to a warehouse in Asheville. The Winery has been able to purchase around 100 cases, and is currently selling the bottles in our restaurant, as well as, other restaurants in the Brevard area.
Our immediate goal is to complete the purchase of the remaining inventory (10 Pallets) at 65k, and have the inventory moved to our onsite warehouse. Having the inventory in hand, we can then launch a state/national distribution campaign in hopes getting our wines carried in more areas and restaurants.
The next goal is to place the 2025 order for another 2 varieties of red wine, to add to our arsenal of our French Private Reserved Wines. This goal parallels a second goal of completing the Wine Tasting deck which is currently under construction and being built under the roof of our Restaurant.
Further plans is to turn the Estate into a full Winery, which would be this counties first and only winery. To accomplish this goal we need to build and create a 5 acre vineyard to grow our grapes. The plans also would take our current warehouse (the old barn) and turn it into its own wine tasting room, providing a wine experience for the tourist and locals.
The ultimate goal for Key Falls Estate is to become a mini-estate for locals and travelers, providing Lodgings, Food, Wine and Wedding/Events!
