 Kecom Inc.

Kecom Inc. is a Kansas City–based robotics and smart infrastructure company building autonomous systems that modernize how cities, businesses, and facilities operate. The company designs and deploys integrated solutions that combine robotics, software, and operational services to automate cleaning, delivery, inspection, and mobility across commercial and public environments. Kecom’s mission is to make autonomous technology practical, scalable, and economically viable for everyday use in real-world settings—sidewalks, campuses, retail centers, transportation hubs, warehouses, and municipal districts.  What We Do Kecom operates as a multi-brand platform company with tightly integrated hardware, software, and service layers: KeCurbside – Autonomous curbside cleaning and last-mile delivery services using outdoor service robots for sidewalks, districts, campuses, and commercial corridors. KeServe – A robotics financial operations (F&I) and field-service software platform that enables distributors and resellers to finance robots, manage customer payments, automate service workflows, maintain regulatory and insurance compliance, and track contract and business performance analytics. RoboMax – A robotics dealership and deployment channel providing demonstrations, onboarding, training, and long-term support for enterprise and municipal customers. Homer – An autonomous mobility initiative focused on future robotaxi and smart transportation systems. Together, these brands form an end-to-end ecosystem: robots in the field, software to commercialize and support them, and service infrastructure to deploy them at scale.

Products & Technology Kecom works with advanced service robots for both indoor and outdoor environments, including:
  • Autonomous sidewalk and exterior cleaning robots

  • Indoor commercial cleaning and facility robots

  • Last-mile delivery robots

  • Smart charging and deployment stations

  • Service management and operational dashboards

  • AI-assisted diagnostics and performance optimization

The company’s software layer unifies service scheduling, maintenance tracking, billing, customer management, financing workflows, and compliance into a single operational platform designed for multi-city deployments.

  • Retail centers and shopping districts

  • Cities and municipal agencies

  • Universities and campuses

  • Transportation hubs and logistics operators

Customers use Kecom’s systems to reduce operating costs, improve cleanliness and safety, extend service coverage, and deploy automation without building internal robotics teams.  Business Model Kecom generates revenue through:
  • Robotics-as-a-Service (subscription deployments)

  • Software platform subscriptions (KeServe)

  • Hardware sales and leasing

  • Deployment, installation, and training services

  • Ongoing maintenance and operational support

This hybrid model allows customers to adopt automation with flexible upfront costs while enabling Kecom to provide long-term operational reliability.

Team & Leadership Kecom was founded by Keenen Smith, a U.S. Army veteran, technology entrepreneur, and Kansas-based business leader with experience in operations, facility management, and public-private collaboration. The company brings together professionals across robotics deployment, software engineering, sales, facilities operations, and municipal partnerships. Kecom also collaborates with robotics manufacturers, software providers, real estate operators, and local governments to accelerate adoption of autonomous systems across the Midwest and beyond.

Vision Kecom is building the infrastructure layer for autonomous cities—where robots quietly handle cleaning, delivery, inspection, and mobility so people can focus on higher-value work and safer, more efficient communities. The company’s long-term vision is to create a standardized operating system for real-world robotics deployment across North America.
