I'm Bernard Jones, founder of Jogan's Tavern, an innovative restaurant concept looking to carve our niche in the Food & Beverage industry!
 Our mission? To unite San Antonio's diverse cultures through the universal language of food, creating a dining experience that celebrates global cuisines while fostering community connections.
Our journey has been 20 years in the making and with your help, this dream can be a reality! 

**** The Goal of The Dream ****

Jogan's Tavern and future locations will create hundreds of jobs, we will be an active community partner, and support our Veterans. I plan to use my experience to lead our community in  restaurant guest satisfaction. Every plate and Every time! We will pride ourselves as a people first company, and will strive for only the best in service to our community. Additionally we will give back by supporting our local schools, churches, hospitals, and organizations.

**** My Team and Credentials ****

My passion for hospitality was realized at 18 when I worked as a server for a friend's family restaurant.  I discovered I enjoyed the camaraderie of the restaurant, meeting people, and the small tasks that lead to a well run business. 

But after graduating  high school, I joined the military at 19 and was deployed to Kuwait. I earned 4 medals for my service and sacrifice to my country. Those medals are: War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, & War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. These accolades underscore not only my commitment to serving my country, but also signify the diverse skill set and experience I bring to the table, including effective leadership in high-stakes environments.

When I left the military I returned to the hospitality industry. Now, my 20+ years experience in the F&B industry including restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, has prepared me for Jogan's Tavern. I have trained and worked every position from dishwasher to management. I understand each role and its importance to a well run restaurant and bar!  I am coming off of a 10 year run with the Texas Roadhouse. My last 3 years as a Managing Partner we generated $7.3 million, $7.8 Million and $8.6 million in sales for those respective years.  I am coming to the table with staff that follow me, including managers, servers, bartenders and BOH staff. I have had a role in developing each one of these people in restaurant and/or bar service. I have an extensive list of businesses I cater for, as well as partnerships I have built in the community over my years in the F&B industry.

Our goal is to raise $300,000 to transform our commercial space into a unique & vibrant tavern space, secure the necessary kitchen equipment, and source our ingredients from local and international suppliers.
