Mom and Son Owned Green Bay Restaurant Raising $150K to Expand

We are a Mom and Son owned restaurant in Green Bay WI featuring fresh food and drinks made with love.  Our restaurant's philosophy stems from my dad's legacy.  He was a great cook and a great host, knowledgeable about wine and cuisine before his time.  His dream was to someday own a restaurant.  When I was very small he told me he would name it "Jimmy Simm's", which is how my son James (the chef) and I decided on the name of our place.  The building itself has a lot of history with the city and our family.  Once housing The Stratosphere, one of Vince Lombardi's favorite stops.  He even wrote about it in his book "Run to Daylight".  Early in his career, my dad worked for the local paper - The Green Bay Press Gazette - and got to be good friends with Vince.  In fact, they hung out at the Stratosphere.  Which is one of the biggest reasons we knew this had to be Jimmy Simm's.  We have lovingly restored the interior to it's original state and now have plans for exterior expansion.  With the help of the City of Green Bay we have been awarded a facade grant, which will fund 75% of the cost of a new outdoor covered pergola dining area.  We are seeking the funds to cover the additional costs not covered.  We also have plans to bottle our already popular housemade sauces and to also purchase a food truck which would enable us to take advantage of revenue from many of the area events.
