Janet Mandell is a luxury fashion rental and life style company. Clients can rent a look from head to toe, including clothing and accessories such as purses, shoes, jewelry, hats, sunglasses. The clientele ranges from ages 25-60, and includes mothers, socialites, and celebrities. Consistent clients generally have a disposable income of $250,000 or more with many events throughout the year. Our current two locations offer variety of lifestyle options like the glam room, out door bistro patio and a home away from home environment.
A styling session at Janet Mandell is like walking into your dream closet. You will initially be greeted by a personal stylist, who walks you through the designer showroom to guide your exclusive, full service experience. Each piece is eligible for a 7 day rental. Inventory ranges from straight off the runway to extremely rare and vintage pieces. This creates a unique environment for potential clients, as the showroom offers clothing for any occasion.
The current team includes six full time associates and two part time associates in Chicago. There are also three full time associates and one part time associate in Los Angeles. These associates have impeccable interpersonal skills that ultimately establish strong client relationships. The Chicago showroom opened its doors in 2018, followed by the LA showroom in 2019. Both the Chicago and Los Angeles teams are incredibly collaborative— it is pertinent that they communicate well, as they are often shipping items between locations for clients.
Janet Mandell is seeking funding to expand its brick and mortar footprint in New York City Miami and Dallas and offer a membership option to further our revenue growth. With this growth comes the need for a COO, PR/marketing team, updated technology and increased inventory. Since 2018, the business has rapidly expanded and requires additional funds to sustain such growth and pivot our business model to offer more lifestyle options for our clients.
