The goal is to create a movie, a reality show, and a merchandise brand around the Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey team. Jamaica has a really good hockey team and the short goal is the Olympics, then leverage the publicity.
I've teamed up with an International marketing company called Imagination, which specializes in branding sports teams and events. They have direct ties to the Olympics, and they have sister companies that work with Netflix. We are courting a major sponsor for the Jamaican team to fund the Olympic run, but we would also like to leverage the brand to create an entertainment company around the Jamaican team.
The market is robust around movies and entertainment for Jamaica. The movie "Cool Runnings," about the Jamaican bobsled team going to the Olympics grossed around $155M. Additionally, the Jamaican entertainment industry generates $15-20 million annually. Since this will be a global opportunity, we fully expect to exceed the "Cool Runnings" totals.
There are several areas of progress and positivity:
1) The Jamaican Ice Hockey is a good team because there are many Canadian-born Jamaicans that grew up playing hockey. An Olympic team would include several NHL players.
2) We have learned through the company's Imagination that Visa and Pepsico are very interested sponsors for the Olympics.
3) The sister company of Imagination, "House," has expressed interest in a movie and reality show, centred around the team.
4) I have a written agreement with the Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey Federation (JOIHF).

6) We will have free, world wide marketing support through exposure in the Winter Olympics
