Island Hop is a fusion Caribbean to go restaurant. We bring the culture and flavors of Haiti and Puerto Rico under one roof and add influences from Jamaica and Cuba to make Island Hop!
My idea is to bring delicious, healthy Caribbean recipes to  customers in big cities all over the United States.  It would be like a Caribbean version  of  “Chipotle”.  Where customers would choose a rice, protein and side.

As  a  Puerto Rican and Haitian woman who grew up in a NYC, where both my cultures were taught and celebrated,  I know flavor and hustle.  In New York I was also exposed to Jamaican, Cuban, and Trinidadian  cuisine which added to my flavor palette and love of Caribbean flavors.   I established the business in New York in 2016, but moved to Texas that year.  Between me moving, being a mother and becoming a Special Ed teacher I put the business on the back burner.  I transferred the business to Texas in 2021 and since then I have been testing my business model and  catering  in Houston, Tx for 3 years.  I have been receiving consistent, amazing reviews for my recipes and concept.  I have left teaching and have completely committed myself to opening my restaurant and building the Island Hop brand.

In 2023, I catered for LL COOL J and The Roots when they were in Houston during the FORCE tour.  They  loved the food and concept of choosing cuisine from multiple Caribbean Islands in one place.

I am  currently in the process of opening my first brick and mortar location and seeking investors who see my vision and are excited  to help scale the business in the United States and globally.
