My name is Erik Schnackenberg. I have been a general contractor and builder for the last 5 years. I have performed over 1.5 million dollars in renovations and custom new construction builds. I started my career at 18 years old as an aircraft mechanic in the US Navy on reconnaissance aircraft. This invaluable experience, although different than my current career, has served as the foundation of my success. It has taught me the importance of loyalty, discipline, perseverance, and resolve.
I have a passion for real estate and I have been studying the market in New England vacation destinations for the last several years while building relationships with Agents to gain access to pocket listings. Due to the current pandemic, there has undoubtedly been a transition from urban to suburban and rural living. Specifically, vacation destinations in the New England area have seen an influx of renters and permanent residents, alike, as white-collar workers are working permanently from home. This transition has created high demand lending to a housing shortage in many of the exact vacation destinations I have been following. This has generated an unforeseen opportunity as vacation homes cover their own expenses, build equity and create passive income. My wife is a resident physician who has worked on the frontlines in one of the hardest hit areas of NYC.
