Despite having a physical disability,  I am doing things that many able-bodied people have not attempted or have even thought of doing. In today's day and age, you often hear about how too many people don't work or don't want to, especially young people. Not only do I want to and am willing to work, but I want to start a company from the ground up! My physical disability has shaped me into the person I am today. I am 26 years old and have duchenne muscular dystrophy, otherwise known as DMD. Because of DMD, a progressive neuromuscular genetic disorder, my muscles have deteriorated to the point of me being in a wheelchair. Throughout my life, I have had ample opportunities to practice and display patience, persistence, and perseverance. The 3 P's are the core values I live my life by.
